Recently the tour named Catriona Mathew Player of the Year and Anna Nordqvist Rookie of the Year.
The new year will also bring new tourneys and the countries responsible to host them will be New Zealand, Morocco, Slovakia and China. There are two more accomplishments, Turkey and Scotland will have their own events, after one year hiatus. With all these, the LET will have 27 tournaments in 20 different countries, not bad for a tour that has been eclipsed by the LPGA.
But wait, there's more! there will be some venue changes, for instance, the Women's Australian Open will take place at Commonwealth Golf Club in Melbourne, the ABN AMRO Ladies Open will be played at Golfclub Broekpolder in Rotterdam and the Tenerife Ladies Open will go back to Buenavista Golf in the Canary Islands; meanwhile the RICOH Women's British Open will make another appearance at Royal Birkdale in England.
Oh yes, there's some great news for LPGA and LET players, the AIB Ladies Irish Open will take place at Killeen Castle in County Mead, this means that the tourney's venue is the same as the 2011 Solheim Cup, so the field will definitively be one of the toughest of the year.
The only details that are missing are some venues and prize money, but there's nothing to worry about since they'll be announced shortly. Anyways, Armas assured that there will be more money than last year and, of course, more income.
